Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Smart Home Automotive app (“the app”), published by Majozo (Sweden). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app does

The app lets you view and control your own Homey Pro smart-home devices and flows from a car running Android Automotive OS. It requires a Homey Pro account and a compatible vehicle. It is not a substitute for any device’s own safety controls.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own private use, subject to these Terms and to Google Play’s terms.

3. Purchases

The app is a paid app sold through Google Play. All purchases, billing and refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play Terms of Service; please refer to Google Play for refund eligibility.

4. Safe use while driving

The app is designed with driving-optimized controls, and certain sensitive actions (such as unlocking a lock) require an explicit confirmation. You remain fully responsible for operating your vehicle safely and for complying with all applicable traffic laws. Do not let the app distract you from driving. Only perform configuration and detailed actions while parked.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, interfere with its security, or use it to access systems you are not authorized to control.

6. Third-party services and trademarks

The app connects to services operated by third parties, including Homey (Athom B.V.) and Google Play, each governed by its own terms. “Homey” is a trademark of Athom B.V. “Android”, “Android Automotive OS” and “Google” are trademarks of Google LLC. This app is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Athom, Google or any vehicle manufacturer. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and third-party services the app relies on may change or become unavailable.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that smart-home commands will always succeed.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Majozo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
